Cisco Container Platform for Service Provider

Live webinar, March 12th, 2019
8:00 AM PT/11:00 AM ET/15:00 GMT

Containers are one of the latest and more powerful technologies to emerge over the past few years to change the way we develop, deploy and manage applications. The days of the massive software release are quickly becoming a thing of the past. In their place are continuous development and upgrade cycles that are allowing a lot more innovation and quicker time to market, with a lot less disruption—for customers and IT organizations alike. However—this change is not without its challenges. Setting up, deploying, and managing multiple containers for multiple micro-sized services gets tedious. And difficult to manage across multiple public and private clouds. IT Ops has wound up doing much of this extra work, which makes it difficult for them to stay on top of the countless other tasks they're already charged with performing. If containers are going to truly be useful at scale, we've got to find a way to make them easier to manage. That’s where Cisco Container Platform comes in.

Cisco Container Platform, a turnkey, open, and production-grade software container platform to address Service Providers growing need to have applications seamlessly run the same way on premises and in public clouds. The Cisco Container Platform simplifies and accelerates how application development and information technology (IT) operations teams configure, deploy, and manage container clusters based on 100 percent upstream Kubernetes. The new solution expands Cisco's growing portfolio of other leading container platform offerings, providing more choice for customers.

Join us in this upcoming March 12th webcast to learn how Cisco Container Platform can help Service Providers enable an open, multicloud environment with consistent application deployment and management. Our session will also include a demo of the solution along with some real world use case examples.

Three Steps You Can Take Now to Start Your Edge Computing Journey

Live webinar, April 17th, 2019
8:00 AM PT/11:00 AM ET/15:00 GMT

Today, more applications are moving to the cloud, and multiple clouds are being deployed. With the explosion of end-points, mobility, and nomadic computing, the volumes of data used for analytics, machine learning and automation can result in high costs to transport to central locations for processing. Traditional service provider architectures can no longer meet modern needs.

At the same time, the connecting network has become critical in delivering high-quality experiences, application performance, and security across data, services, and applications. To solve these issues, a new services edge architecture is emerging that is based on distributing computing capacity to the edge of the network. This architecture results in lower latency with respect to subscribers. Edge computing is emerging as a general architectural shift, which most standards developing organizations (SDOs) such as ETSI refer to as multi-access edge computing or MEC.

Fundamental to implementing a successful edge computing model, is having the right components to support the necessary infrastructure use cases as well as the many revenue generating use cases. In this session we will explore such fundamental components, the requirements on them, and a solution architecture. We will also examine various use cases and share information on successful deployments.

We will close the session with a live demonstration of an increasingly popular platform, the Cisco Virtual Infrastructure Manager and associated use cases.

At the end of the session, you will:

  • Understand more about Cisco’s approach to NFV, cloud native infrastructure, and the emerging edge computing model
  • Understand how Cisco Virtual Infrastructure Manager (VIM) is a proven platform for NFV, cloud native deployments, and edge computing
  • Have insight into edge computing use cases that have been deployed successfully around the world.

SECURITY
Unleash the full power of your security architecture with Cisco Threat Response

Live webinar, April 10th, 2019
8:00 AM PT/11:00 AM ET/15:00 GMT

Cybersecurity threats seems to come from everywhere today. And with each threat, new tools emerge to combat them which you repeated layer into your system as a safeguard. However, layering systems in this way creates complexity. Each product lacks consistency, interfaces are complicated, and your security analysts have to swivel back and forth among all of them trying to understand what these systems are saying.

This has been the situation in cybersecurity for far too long. That’s why security must work together, but too often it doesn’t. At Cisco, we’re changing all of that. Cisco Threat Response automates integrations across the Cisco Security portfolio, and aggregates threat intelligence not only from Cisco Talos, but from third party sources as well. It enables security operations teams to detect, investigate, and remediate much faster and easier—a necessity in today’s cyber landscape. Get more value from your Cisco Security investment when the products work together to save you time and manual effort—especially when you are under attack and time matters most.

Join us in this special webinar session to learn how Cisco Threat Response can help you get more value from your Cisco Security investments. Our session will also include a demo of the solution along with some real-world use case examples.

Recipe for 5G success – for Service Provider and Enterprise

Live webinar, May 15th, 2019
8:00 AM PT/11:00 AM ET/15:00 GMT

It is generally agreed that 5G will need Enterprise solutions enabled via the MNO to complete the revenue picture. To provide outstanding services for enterprise customers, the MNO needs to make the WAN look and feel like an extension of their LAN. Today, MNO business customers lack the visibility and control of their IT services across the MNO network. The Cisco Unified Domain Center (UDC) creates a mobile cloud portal for the enterprise. It extends the enterprise intent-based networking domain to include connected bandwidth via MNO networks (this can include network slices, mobile SD-WAN, VPN, etc.).

What you will learn:

  • How UDC works
  • How UDC enables Enterprise IT to manage their network via the service provider like their own LAN
  • How the Mobile operator leverages UDC to become a valuable partner to their enterprise customers
