Converge layers with a new paradigm - Routed Optical Networking for simplified operations and lifecycle management

While some questions remain about the timing of deployments and leading use cases, by collapsing IP and Optical Network layers as well as converging L1 and L3 services, Routed Optical Networking (RON) has the potential to transform the way SP build and operate telecom networks. With relevant products and in the context of Cisco's recent acquisition Acacia, the economics of RON is generating a lot of interest. During this 60 minutes session we will present initial findings and conclusions from several engagements with SP customers around the globe.
