Today, as more users seek and create information in new ways, and as organizations strive for deeper intelligence, faster decisions, and sustainable solutions, the world demands new thinking about data center infrastructure. With innovations inspired by customers, Cisco shatters convention once again, delivering new systems and software that bring the power of Unified Computing to data-intensive analytics, applications at the edge, and the next generation of scale-out workloads.

On July 11, 2017, Cisco announced its fifth generation of Unified Computing System (UCS) servers. The M5 portfolio gives you the benefits of the latest Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors including faster CPUs, more cores, and a faster, larger memory capacity. Additionally, you can future proof your environment with support for nonvolatile memory express (NVMe), M.2 storage, and be Intel 3D XPoint™ ready. With the improved modularity of the M5 product line, more graphics processing units (GPUs) are supported than ever before.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Cisco UCS, it’s not a server, it’s a system
  • Cisco UCS architecture.
