Customers are no longer willing to wait weeks for operators to deploy a new service or months to introduce a needed new feature. New technology innovations like automation, programmable networks and network functions virtualization (NFV) can give service providers the agility to meet customers growing demands to deliver a wider range of capabilities and solutions that are tailored specifically for their needs on-demand. However, these same technologies—especially NFV—can also make service design and delivery vastly more complex.

In this continuing webinar series on the transition towards automation, we will discuss the specific attributes required in today’s highly dynamic operator environments and how Cisco’s automation portfolio with Cisco Network Service Orchestrator fulfills them. This session will cover the third of the three critical stages of Automation and Orchestration: Innovation: Develop new network services on demand. We will demonstrate how Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) provides end-to-end automation to design and deliver services faster. It lets operators easily create and change services using standardized models—without lengthy custom coding or service disruptions.

Participants will gain an understanding of the network management and service development challenges posed by automation and virtualization. They will additionally learn why choosing the right orchestration solution is crucial to maximizing on these technologies
